Wieck Names Roberts VP/GM
DALLAS (Feb. 3, 1999)- Tim Roberts, who helped form Wieck Photo DataBase, Inc., in 1991, today was named Vice President and General Manager of the company.
Chairman Travis Hughs and President Jim Wieck said Roberts, 34, would be responsible for developing and marketing the firm's services for media, corporations and the public relations industry.
"We owe much of our success to Tim's innovations and his interaction with clients," Wieck said.
Roberts, a prize-winning photographer with Agence France-Presse and United Press International, joined Wieck as an editor. He later developed one of the first digital image databases. In 1996 he was named Vice President for Systems.

Wieck Media specializes in Web delivery of multimedia files — text, graphics, photos, audio and video — to media organizations worldwide.
Wieck utilizes Internet and Web technologies to distribute the news reports, columns, photos and graphics for The New York Times News and Syndicate Services, as well as the daily Times Digest and the daily and weekly crossword puzzles. The company also distributes the daily photo reports for Kyodo News Service, LAT Photographic in London and Newhouse News Service.
