Toyota Taps Wieck to Host Media Sites
DALLAS (June 29, 1999)- Wieck Photo DataBase, Inc., has reached agreement with Toyota Corporate Services of North America, Inc., to host and maintain the automaker's media web site.
Under the agreement, effective immediately, Wieck hosts web Pressrooms for Toyota and Lexus products. The database-driven media dissemination sites include publication-ready text and images that can be previewed and downloaded by reporters, editors and producers worldwide.
Databased and streaming video services also are under consideration for the site.
"Toyota Motor Corporate Services was one of the first Wieck clients to incorporate web access to photographs and captions into our journalist site," said Kay Magilavey of Toyota Motor Corporate Services NA. "Our experiences with the Wieck staff were very positive. Not only did they provide excellent management of our posted material, they also provided technical assistance directly to our users, many of whom were new to the world of digital images. It was a natural progression to move our entire site to Wieck."
