Bill Michling and Bobby Warren Named to Key Posts at Wieck Media Services

ADDISON, Tex. (April. 3, 2002) -- Bill Michling has been promoted to code warrior, a new programming position, Wieck Media Services has announced. The company also said that Bobby Warren has been hired to replace Michling as network manager.

As code warrior, Michling is responsible for Wieck's many proprietary in-house production systems, such as image processing, automated image transmission and all company work flow, webmaster Alex Sian said. Warren is responsible for the smooth operation of all work stations, including hardware and terminals, Sian said. Warren oversees a network of 70 computers, servers, printers and network switches.

Michling, 54, was a meteorologist in the U.S. Navy. He also was a numerical products supervisor, in charge of the naval computer room in Pearl Harbor. Following his stint in the Navy, he was a senior engineer for NCR. Although born in Texas, Michling has lived most of his life on the island of Saipan, where he opened an Apple Computers service depot in 1986, and taught Macintosh classes at Northern Marianas College. Michling is married with one daughter and lives in Carrollton, TX.

Michling has been a member of the Rotary since 1980 and currently serves as President of the Dallas North Rotary Club.

"This was a natural progression for Bill, who has served us wonderfully as network manager," said Tim Roberts, vice president/general manager of Wieck. "He is a talented programmer whose expertise will be of enormous value to our clients and the rest of our team."

Warren, 34, grew up in Chandler, Okla., attended the University of Tulsa, studying English and computer science, and now lives in north Dallas. He has worked with Apple computer products for 20 years -- at one point running a computerized scoring system for golf tournaments at the Dallas Athletic Club. He also worked five years at a Macintosh dealership.

Warren represented Wieck at the 2002 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and the 2002 New York Auto Show, managing Wieck's customers' media centers.

"Bobby was a great find for us," Roberts said. "He is energetic and thorough with an uncommon passion for his work. His MacOS expertise will help us maintain our rapidly growing infrastructure."
